I am a mathematical physicist applying functional-analytic and operator-algebraic methods to study the mathematical structures underlying statistical mechanics, equilibrium thermodynamics, and (foundations of) quantum theory. Additionally, the theory of large deviations also piques my interests.
I am a postdoc working in the group of Prof. Dr. Gandalf Lechner at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg.
In December 2021 I obtained my PhD in Mathematics cum laude at the University of Trento under the supervision of Prof Dr. Valter Moretti. To this end I was awarded a Marie Skłodowska-Curie PhD Fellowship part of the European project INdAM-DP-Cofund-2015 ‘INdAM Doctoral Programme in Mathematics and/or Application Cofunded by Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions’ .
After obtaining my PhD I have worked as an Alexander von Humboldt Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Würzburg in the of Prof. Dr. Stefan Waldmann. In February 2025, I was awarded the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions Fellowship for postdoctoral research.
I am currently teaching the course Mathematische Grundlagen der Quantisierungstheorie und Anwendungen (in English).
